Unlocking Your Community Farm

Quest Details

To unlock your Community Farm, you'll need to complete a specific quest chain:

1. Reach Legacy Level 6
2. Complete :start-quest: The City of Ravencrest quest

💡 Pro tip: The Community Farm quest is part of the main story progression, so following the primary questline will naturally lead you to it

Quest Location

Head to Ravencrest, the main city in the map. The NPC that gives you the task for the Community Farm is located in the central area of the city (Father Richard at the Ravencrest Temple).

Community Farm Basics

Once unlocked, your Community Farm provides:

• A personal instanced area for your house
• Initial plot of land for growing crops and raising animals
• Introduction to basic farming mechanics

Accessing Your Farm

To enter your Community Farm:

1. Travel to Ravencrest
2. Look for the brown square area on your map (right side of the city)
3. Go down the stairs to access your instanced farm

Getting Started with Farming

Initial Tasks

Your first farming quest will involve planting potatoes. Here's how to do it:

1. Enter your Community Farm

2. Toggle house mode by clicking the :house-mode: icon on your minimap

3. Check to see if :farm:Farm mode is selected

4. Select potatoes from the :farming:Farming menu

5. Click Place in the Item Description window

6. Choose a location in the community farm to plant

   💡 Pro tip: to exit Place mode, simply right-click with your mouse anywhere to cancel the interaction

7. Click the designated green area

Farming Mechanics

• All Plants have different growth times and require other levels in that profession

• :f-key: Interact with your crops and check growth progress
• Alternatively, when away from your land, click the :house-mode:House mode icon on your minimap to check your crops’ progress without traveling

Key Farming Concepts

Effort Points

• Required for any Place actions on the Community Farm
• Regenerates when doing open-world activities such as killing monsters or fishing
• You can see your :effort:Effort meter by opening the :house-mode: House Mode menu

💡 Pro tip: when you are in your land and with :house-mode:House Mode activated, you can check your :effort:Effort at the bottom left corner of the screen. When away from home, you can do that by clicking the same :house-mode:House Mode icon to open your Land Tracker

• If you have a land bigger than Community Land, you’ll be able to accumulate more :effort:Effort points, so it’s worth buying even a :small-land: Small Land

Land Tax Debt Land taxes are automatically charged to your in-game :silvercoin: Silver balance on the same day of the week that you purchased it. If you do not have enough money to pay, there will be a 10% interest rate a day during 7 days. After 7 days, if it is still not paid, you will lose the house.
