Understanding Moa Characteristics

Before diving into breeding, it's crucial to understand the various attributes that define a Moa:

1. ‣Strength: affects speed when pulling a wagon
2. ‣Speed: determines riding speed
3. ‣ Height: primarily aesthetic attribute
4. ‣ Weight: primarily aesthetic attribute
5. ‣ Tier: influences overall stats
6. ‣ Breeding Limit: number of times a Moa can breed
7. Color: aesthetic attribute with varying rarity
8. Abilities: special skills like Dash or Sprint

Setting Up Your Stable

To begin breeding Moas, you'll need:

1. A plot of land
2. A Moa stable placed on your land

To place a stable:

1. Enter ‣House Mode on your land
2. Select and place the Moa stable

The Breeding Process

Step 1: Selecting Parent Moas

1. Acquire one male and one female Moa
   • Purchase from ‣ Jebediah at the South exit of Ravencrest (‣ 7,500 each)
     • Buying Moas from ‣ Jebediah is usually cheaper, but you can’t choose anything other than its gender
   • Buy from other players at the ‣ Market
     • Buying from other players is usually more expensive, but you can choose the Moa’s characteristics
     • Breeding Moas is limited by your profession level. If you never bred before, you can only use ‣ Tier 1 Moas
   • Or use Moas you already own

Step 2: Initiating Breeding

1. ‣ Interact with your Moa stable

1. Select the male Moa

   

   

2. Select the female Moa

1. Choose to start breeding immediately or use a booster

💡 Pro tip: boosters increase the chance of the offspring having an ability or trait. Consider using them for high-value breeding attempts

Breeding Boosters can be bought from the ‣ Marketplace or crafted at ‣ Alchemy Stations. There are booster recipes for ‣ Level 30, 58 and 69.

Step 3: Breeding Timer

1. A 24-hour breeding timer begins
2. After 24 hours, an egg is created
3. The egg has a 36-hour hatching timer

Step 4: Caring for the Young Moa

1. Once hatched, care for the Moa every 2 hours
2. Perform one of three random actions:
   • Feed Moa rations
   • Give Moa medicine
   • Pet the Moa
3. Repeat this process six times
