What are runes?

Runes are buff items that can be placed on your armor and weapon.

Every rune is distinguished by a symbol and a color.

Symbols show which type of armor or weapon they can be carved in, colors indicate what stat they improve.

• Red - Might
• Blue - Intelligence
• Yellow - Dexterity
• Purple - Wisdom
• Green - Vitality

Runes are also connected to Journals. Accessing Rune Vendors will require completing Journal quests and collecting that area’s specific Journal Item.

Getting Runes

Tier 1

Harbor Island

To unlock the Freelooters Syndicate, you need to drop the Lost Earring from hunting creatures in Harbor. (Check if you have that pressing J on your keyboard and going to the Harbor Island journal page. If the second item is colored, you already have it).

If you don’t have the Lost Earring, you probably got confused when two pirates didn’t let you cross this bridge in Seabreeze.
